A glimpse...

Every once in a while, it's hard to see the end of all this.  The point of the renovating.  The point of the plywood walls and bare sheet rock ceilings and ugly dining room floors, just waiting to be tackled.
But every once in a while, we get a glimpse of the answer: People. hospitality. home.
Sunday night, we were blessed to host some families from church.  And they are gracious enough to overlook the plywood walls and unfinished ceilings and ugly floors, and just fellowship.  What a blessing.
The Lord provided a PERFECT evening -- a rare occasion in Oklahoma!  We were able to open the back doors and just enjoy the fun!
No, we're not anywhere close to finished, but I'm reminded that we can still be hospitable. We can still have people in our (unfinished) home. And I'm grateful for that, while also looking forward to the future.
The future that means those back doors will be surrounded by windows, and that ugly dining room floor will be gone and replaced, and that bare ceiling will be textured and painted.
Someday...
