The Last of the Yellow (Almost)

After some paneling repair and patching of holes, it's finally time to say goodbye to the last of the yellow.  Our dear friend, Jeanette, who LOVED all things yellow, once declared, "This is too much yellow, even for me!"  HA!

The siding and trim used to be all yellow, and when we replaced the siding several years ago, someone from the neighborhood stopped by to tell us thank you for painting the "bumblebee house."  :-)

So it's time to complete the project!

Isn't it so wonderfully boring?!

Except my ornery husband left this little bit of yellow showing - for now - to torture me...

Through the Roof

See a problem here?  That's the doorway to the upstairs bathroom...

When we got our new hot water heater a couple of years ago, it needed new venting, and this was the quickest solution - so this  was filed away "to be dealt with later." :-)  Well, now it's later.  After finding a solution for the vent hood ducting, James found space for this vent in the wall - not in a doorway. Yay for not having to reconfigure the bathroom!

He needed to patch the roof and seal the new vent, and with the Oklahoma wind, it wasn't going so well. Charis quickly volunteered to help.  I was quite grateful it wasn't me!
