Lights, finally.

After endless hours of internet searches, one returned purchase, and several weeks, we have vanity lighting.  And, hilariously (?), they're almost identical to the ones hastily chosen for the guest bathroom.  Guess we have a style...

Stair Skirts?

I had never heard the term "stair skirt", but after Jeff mentioned that we needed to do them, I started seeing them everywhere.  HA!  So James got to work!

They got a preliminary coat of paint. Looking good!

 

Just waiting to show itself...

James started hooking up the sinks in the girls' bathroom. Woohoo!  And everything was going swimmingly. Until...

...the girls noticed a small stream of water in the dining room downstairs.  Yup.  There's a leak somewhere...  So James headed into the attic to access the plumbing from the backside. Nothing there.  

Then to the laundry room ceiling to search there. And there it was.  A wayward nail in the drain pipe.  

Here's the fun part. He did that plumbing in 2011(!) and it's been waiting for fixtures upstairs!  And the last time the nail gun was in action around there was 2017 - maybe as far back as 2013.  Fun times just waiting to be had.  

After the girls and I making 4 trips into Home Depot and Lowes "on our way home" from church, the leak is fixed, the plumbing is back in order, and we can move forward!
