Movin' On Up

to the next project!  It never ends!

Next up is the girls' bathroom upstairs. This has to get finished before we can carpet, paint, and MOVE them into the bedrooms upstairs.  Amazing that we're actually talking about that happening!!!!!!! (pardon all the exclamation points)

James built this bathroom, including plumbing and electrical, nearly NINE years ago.  We had a general idea of what we wanted, but didn't have exact plans. So when it came time to actually start, little things like outlet placement became topics of discussion.

My sweet husband relocated the outlets for me.  I'm forever grateful.

Once again, the big room upstairs has proved most helpful in providing workshop space. Because this time, James is building the cabinets!  Just one more thing he's learning to do - and loving the results!

The Last Box

When I made these cards nearly 11 years ago, I never imagined that the things would remain packed so long. But it sure was fun to unpack the last boxes today.

And I'm so grateful nothing was broken!  Just simply covered in sheet rock dust. HA!

Glad to have a much more accessible place for our china and serving pieces!  YAY!

And now it's time to move on to the upstairs bathroom, which the search for kitchen backsplash tile continues...

Quartz Time!

My goodness, things just keep getting more exciting!

Hilarious Charis sneaked upstairs to get some pics of their arrival.

And within minutes, the first counter was in.

And then the big one!!

It took 3 guys to get the cast-iron sink mounted!

But, man, it's beautiful.

The Coffee Counter

Wow. I feel like I'm in a showroom.

But it's never been more fun to make Chocolate Chip Cookies.  💓

Prepping for Counters

After a fun trip to The Garage for burgers with our oldest (the others were slumber-partying at BeePop's), it's time to get to work.  The counters guys arrive in the morning!

Ah, bye-bye $10 FB Marketplace sink. :-)

Time to makes some cuts for the metal support straps - putting C to work!

James put the top back on for the night, so we don't run into the straps. How kind of him.  :-)

Ready to go!!
