Work, work, work

James has been busy with "real" work, so he finds time when he can to do work upstairs.  The latest was pulling out the furnace to make room for the new bathroom.

The old bathroom:

Also on the to-do list, adding some rafters -- I'm trying to act like I know what this really entails, but I don't... The lumber was delivered and James went to work transferring it to the backyard.  These are 22 foot massive boards -- what a hunk!

It always helps to have a cheering section...

Found in the shed...

I feel like we could have our own game show with items found in the backyard sheds. The latest? A snazzy brand-new Dollar General outdoor canopy.

After a few minutes of assembly, we had ourselves a fancy-schmancy shade-giver. Pretty fun!

We *heart* Craigslist!

Once again, we've taken to Craigslist to make life a little better.
Remember this?  The upstairs vanity.

James tore it out and it found a nice home in our shed.

Put it on Craigslist and Voila!  Look what the buyer did with it! (She was thoughtful enough to email me a pic!)

We also sold some bathroom mirrors and the whirpool tub!  Anyone want to buy a furnace???

The Garage

This is the original condition of our garage!  We've cleaned, taken out the awesome pipe "beam", and we're not done yet!

Notice the Gwyn Trucking sign -- James' grandpa's company!
We finally reached a breaking point with the crowded nature of the garage -- we drive two rather large vehicles -- so James spent a morning tearing out some already-doomed-for-the-junk-pile shelves and gave us a bit more room. Awesome.
