The Bedroom Begins

Time to move those windows and get the guest bedroom moving.

Dust. Dust everywhere. :-)  But the sheet-rocking and tape and bedding continue...

Don't Let the Bedbugs Bite!

Ah, just how we wanted to spend our Monday... I was all ready to get back to a routine after dealing with first trimester fatigue. But this was the plan instead. Bedbugs. 

Still not sure where these little guys came from, but they were DISGUSTING. 

While James bagged up everything and sprayed every surface, I made the Target run for mattress covers and, of course, chocolate.

Madness.  Absolute madness.  It took a week to get everything washed and dried and sorted. But I think we've won the war.

Hot Water!

It's been a long time coming, but we've got a new GIANT gas hot water heater installed. Woohoo!!

Special thanks to our neighbor, Caleb, who helped lift it into place. 

Next up, relocating this doorway away from the vent pipe. LOL.

Black Iron

Yet another step in the process.  Adding gas line for the hot water heater, new stove, and future new dryer.  

I don't know how he does all of this.  But one more task down...

Tub Time

What does it look like to order a bathtub from Amazon?  Semi delivery time. 

Daddy's Little Helper

Who do you call when you need a ceiling fan installed? James and Meg, his assistant.  

And do you need someone to hold the ShopVac while you cut sheet rock?  Megan's good with that, too.  :-)

Love watching these girls help their Daddy and learn while they're doing it!

Wires, wires everywhere!

With the power supply moved, it was time to do some more wiring...

which meant figuring out further where all the current wires were running, and which circuits were open.  So much mental work.  Sweet grandparents took the girls for the day, and James and I spent the day working our brains.  Whew.
